Shangilia is an African project. Run by Africans. However it also needs 1st world support.
Shangilia e.V., a German registered charity, was set up in early 2009 to provide educational and financial support to the project. Our objective is to provide an interface between Shangilia and the wider world.
We are always willing and ready to share ideas and details about the project finances. We consider a financial openness and tight oversight to be critical. Any institution, company or individual who would like to know more of our financial details should let us know.
A very important part of our mission is to raise money to help run the project. We carry out many activities in this area.
There are several ways you can help us, and maybe some ways in which we can help you. We are always looking for new and inovative ideas so please talk with us!
Company Sponsorship
One very innovative idea is to buy a clickable "logo" for your web site. The idea is that you buy the right to place our logo on your web site and that this logo enables a "link exchange". This is a very powerful tool to help web sites receive a high ranking in the Google search engine.
You get the following:
- Improved Google ranking through "link exchange"
- Shows your social awareness and that you support a worthy project
- The cost is tax-deductible! - at least in Germany
- A 60 word summary in our "sponsor" section (you write it!)

Cost
We struggled a little in deciding what we should charge for the "link-exchange". On balance our suggestion is as follows. Bear in mind that this is a charity and every penny we make goes to finance the project. This is a non profit organization.
